OUR TAGLINE SAYS IT BEST - More than diversity
We view diversity as far more than the responsibility of the personnel department, far more than "just diversity." It's strategic. It's about leadership and opportunity. It's about new markets and innovation, about maximizing cost-effectiveness. It's about the future for all of us, and for all organizations, in a world that has tripled in population in just one person's lifetime.

As you review our website, consider what a deeper understanding of today's complex world might mean for your company or organization - and how baker&associates, with nearly 20 years of hands-on, strategic diversity experience, might contribute to its development and growth. Because it's about more than "just diversity".

our story
At baker&associates, we view diversity as much broader than just ethnic or religious differences. Age, gender, disability, sexual orientation and more should be part of the diversity discussion, too. We also promote an "inclusive" approach to managing differences and believe that everyone has something to contribute - even members of traditional groups who might otherwise feel threatened by an increased focus on diversity.

baker&associates offers practical solutions for businesses and government agencies seeking to align their operations with a rapidly-changing world. Our services include strategic consulting, leadership training and development, regulatory due diligence, diversity audits, public speaking, U.S. study trips and more.

In starting the company in 2003, Gary Baker had three key beliefs in mind, based on his extensive diversity management experience in California:

  o  Companies can save valuable time and money, win significant market share and avoid regulatory headaches by learning from what others have done;

  o  Government agencies can improve the quality of services they deliver to the citizenry, and do so at lower cost, through increased workplace integration and developing new information channels; and,

  o  If diversity and integration initiatives are to be sustainable, they must be supported by the business, government and non-profit sectors working in partnership, as appropriate.

Please contact us for a free introductory meeting so we can explore together how baker&associates might assist your company or organization.

"Thank you for an outstanding presentation during our board of directors seminar! Your contribution reached exactly the objective we had. To hear someone with practical experience in diversity is much stronger than telling about other people's experiences."
